X-Architects closely collaborated with Leen Vandaele, interior decorator ar¬chitect and design consultant from Squisito, to create a houseboat that in¬ventively combines the nautical lifestyle of relaxation and enjoyment with crisp architectural tectonics.
The fundamental structure of the floating home is created from two catamaran beams (for stability), stainless steel and glass. The layout of the structure, which is 20 meters by 6.7 meters, includes an upper deck containing a concealed kitchen, living room and an informal dining area. The Lower deck houses the bedrooms, bathroom and steering cabin. It also features a terrace, with spiral staircase access, that can be used as a sun deck. The interior is a blend of soft white tones, with contemporary furniture and chic bathroom fittings adding to the modern yet cozy ambiance. The architectural lighting makes this boat house more striking in the evening while it glides smoothly along the lucid waters of Mina Seyahi.

The well-know Pedini Artika Kitchens are coming back with brand new designs. The original models were first introduced during the Milan fair 6 years ago, and been extremely popular ever since. Remodelling is welcomed even for the best and these kitchens are able to reflect the lifestyle of their owners. Ergonomics are also carefully analysed as to offer a maximum of comfort during work. This relaunching of Artika comprises an unexpected twist of shapes but also bright color hues. The new Artika Kitchens from Pedini keep up with the fast changes in the design field but keep the standards high.
Copat’s new Salina / Kos Kitchen has rich, warm hues of chocolate and carob proving once again that the company’s design team can consistently bring versatile creativity to any home. This urban kitchen design teams the Kos kitchen’s multi-laminar teak with the dark lacquer of the Salina model. Teak stretches out as the surface to connect the two fitted units of the island, creating a space suitable for prep or snacking.

Locals, used to a more traditional ski chalet in this popular ski resort area, refer to the building as the cube, a name choice requiring no imagination. When the Montreal-based architectural firm Saucier + Perrotte won the Canadian Architect magazine’s Award of Excellence for this project in 2004, the magazine called the entry the Lac Superieur Residence in Lac Superieur, Mont-Tremblant.
